Lord Jesus, You speak gently to those willing to listen.
Quiet the noise within us that drowns out Your voice.
Give us listening hearts, attentive to Scripture,
to conscience, and to the needs of others.
Help us resist distraction and hurry so we may recognize
Your presence throughout this day.
May Your word take root in us and bear fruit
in patience, mercy, and peace.
